Director, Political & Candidate Education

Dear Local Chambers of Commerce,

Ever since 1999, when a divided Ohio Supreme Court ruled that tort reform legislation passed by the General Assembly three years earlier was unconstitutional, reforming a costly legal system riddled with unfairness and uncertainty was a top priority for the Ohio Chamber.

Finally, in late 2004, the legislature passed Senate Bill 80, a package of meaningful civil justice reforms necessary to help improve Ohio’s business climate. But it was only a matter of time before personal injury lawyers challenged SB 80.

Chairman’s Message

Dear Members,

As this holiday season comes to a close, I have been reminded of what a truly dynamic organization the Euclid Chamber of Commerce is. I am fortunate and grateful to be following David Carlson as chairperson. Dave’s leadership and friendship has meant a great deal to me. Dave, the Euclid Chamber Board and Membership are indebted to you for your service and passion to the City of Euclid.

President’s Column

With every New Year, comes a new opportunity to reevaluate your businesses goals, strengths and areas of needed improvement. I hope that one of your goals is to increase your bottom line by becoming more involved with the Euclid Chamber of Commerce. “How can the Chamber of Commerce improve my bottom line?” is probably what you are thinking. Well there are many ways and one of my goals this year is to show you how, as a business, to increase your bottom line more then what your chamber membership currently costs you.

Business Development Expo

The Business Development Expo was a great success for the Euclid Chamber of Commerce and the City of Euclid. With over 200 people in attendance, businesses were able to find new ways to grow & expand as well as network with their colleagues. Unfortunately, Lt. Governor Lee Fisher was not able to join us however we were able to have two amazing speakers to fill his shoes, Ed Jerse, Legislative Director for the Ohio Department of Development and Ohio Supreme Court Justice and Former Lt. Governor Maureen O’Connor.

Here is a list of some the great table sponsors
we had at our expo:
